Thank you everyone. I got my PGWP approved October 23rd,2023
I applied May 25.
About 150 dreadful days!!!!

please I have gotten correspondence for my Biometrics, are they gonna send approval letter? And how long does it take to get the hard copy mailed to my address in Canada?

thank you everyone. CPCEdmonton office really got my heart broken for such a long time. I hope those waiting get decisions soon. I don’t think any gimmicks worked just God and keep waiting. I reached out to MP, call client support centre, nothing was fast.
I am glad I can rest now. Unto the next!

congratulations bro. i got the same shiiii.. cpc edmonton took from june 11th to oct 24th ti finally approve my PGWP... i had to wait 4 months and a bit with NO WORK because my study permit expired on may 30 and i didnt know my required documents came on june 11... so i applied then and paid restoration of status, but i had a huge fear i would get rejected cause of my invalid status at the time of applying and the expiring passport in nov 20 2023... i submitted web form on sept 12th after Naturegl the legend or someone on this thread recommended I use web form to upload my new passport expiring in 2028... so i did that on sept 12 and boom they issued full validity pgwp until 2026 oct... thank god. wishing and praying for stress relief of those who applied. i know how fd... this system is, this waiting period can make it or break it for some people.. i was very lucky in my situation i had someone to support me during this difficult waiting period, no work and having bills and rent to pay here made it almost impossible, and the uncertainty of getting rejected or approved drove me crazy and during those 4 months of waiting my dad had his first stroke... its been a wild few months man hahh

I already gave up for a faster processing of my pgwp. I applied June 8, still review is not started on my portal. I already submitted required documents, I dont think there is any other step to take for me. I'll just wait. I am only looking at the good side that the longer I wait, the longer I stay here in Canada with my husband and my 9 months old child. If they keep me waiting for 1 whole year or another year, I have 2 years of living here in Canada, and I am living here legally even though I dont have status, as long as they are processing my application. If they approved me late, my pgwp will start later. I already gave up, waiting is frustrating and depressing, it is so stressful, I dont want to be stress anymore. I will enjoy Canada with my family and spend time with my baby as long as they want me to wait.

Hi Everyone, Its for a friend.
In a bit of situation here. Her study permit expired on Sept 30, 2023. She had applied for an extension in early Sept but that was refused on Nov 2, 2023 & the officer in the refusal letter indicated that her status in Canada expires on Nov 2. . She received her letter of graduation and the final transcripts on Nov 2 and had applied for a PGWP right away. Moreover, we had paid the fee for the restoration of status ($350) and the fee for PGWP ($255).
Can anyone here tell us that what we did was right? Also, can anyone confirm that they successfully received their PGWP while being in the same situation i.e. applied for a PGWP with an expired study permit?
Please help!!
Thanks!

hey man it seems like you paid the correct fees so i think you are OK provided all your documents are good.
you can go through my profile to read about my personal (and stressful) journey to finally receiving PGWP, but i applied with a similar position, my study permit expired May 30 2023 and I didnt know my letter of completion and transcript would come after, but they came on June 11th and I applied for PGWP with restoration of status. ($255 + $350)

I got approved for PGWP with full validity on Oct 23rd 2023

Hi, thank you for asking. There is no update. Eligibility has not started yet. It is like 160 days since I applied. I already submit webform, called the MP and called IRCC multiple times last month, I think 2 officer already put a note on it. Still no update. I even requested ATIP, have not received it, it is almost a month now when I requested it. I don't think there is anything I can do for now.

Hey, it's not just you. I applied on June 1. Only the criminality check has been passed. nothing else has been even started as of 2 weeks ago.

I have seen some posts on reddit that say it took them more than 6 months to get PGWP approved. So let's just wait without sweating too much and hope for the best.
