Hi All,
I got an update after 2 years - they're requesting for Canadian PCC as my parents previously lived in Canada for 7 months. They're not in Canada right now. Please if someone can let me know how to obtain the Canadian PCC. I did search the thread, googled and even read on the website - but not sure if it's very clear. They're asking to visit some third party for fingerprints - but these 3rd parties too are in Canada.

Will really appreciate the reply as I have less than 30 days.

Can someone help me with a question regarding my parents’ extension of stay in Canada?

Is “waiting for a final decision on the PR application” a legitimate reason for the extension?

If I am not mistaken, they do not ask for a reason.
I applied for an extension for my parents' visitor visa online for One Year, they took 6 months to reply, but the good thing is they gave a One-year extension exclusive of 6 month period (18 months in total).

what do they say in the pre arrival email usually? I think I got one in September 2022 outlining the list of pre arrival services... but again absolutely nothing since December 2022.

Thats all, that is the standard format to know the services and help they can get when they are in Canada and how to be prepared etc., I have already called CIC 4 times till now in last month, as the processing time is 21 months and we already crossed 23 months. They always say its being actively worked upon and we cannot do anything apart from waiting.

I wonder if all the applicants who are still waiting for a final decision from the Mississauga case processing centre are going through a lengthy security check.

The above documents were requested on Jan 25, I have uploaded them on Feb 22.

Hi All,

Hope you all are doing great. I just received invitation to apply email from IRCC to sponsor my parents. I am a bit confused and need your guidance on below points:

1. The documents checklist says we need to submit Marriage Certificate of parents. They don't have it and their passports have their names added.

Is it sufficient? Did someone submitted an alternate and if that worked?

2. Should I get it done by some consultant or myself?

Adhaar card, Voter Id card or Ration card will have spouse name on your mother's documents. You can use anyone of these along with passport as proof of relationship.

PR confirmation mail received - Sept 14, 2023
PR portal credentials received and address and picture submitted- Sept 22, 2023
ECoPR received - Oct 11, 2023

Yes!! My mother's application is still underway too - way past the normal processing times. Apparently the security check is taking ages.

I ordered gcms notes and security is the last step pending. The screening started months ago and has been taking a long time. File is in Vancouver.

If you want them to remain in Canada longer without leaving, then you need to apply for a visitor record / extension.
