Hello everyone,

I've received 5 sets of GCMS notes and had my local MP contact IRCC, but there's been no progress on our application since May 17. Next month marks 6 months post-test, and I'm still hopeful that we'll finish before that milestone. Our file is currently assigned to RC-8090 (Sydney office). Life has been moving forward, and I'm holding up alright because I know many who applied before me are still waiting. Wishing you all the best and I'll keep you updated. Thanks!
Good luck to you. It seems once the cursed RC-8090 shows up nothing good comes out of it

Just an update - Finally, the file moved after I applied for GCMS on Oct 16. My wifes Background check completed today Oct 25.
Atleast something positive after 9 months of waiting.

The webform will more than likely not give you any useful responses other than telling you to look at the tracker.
Your GCMS notes should come in around 1-2 months. You may find more information on what's going on with your application, but there's very little that you can do to get it moving.

Congrats, do you know when security started for your spouse? Also the test date?

I hope the wait is not too long. Been reading that they might clear a lot of backlog before the holidays, but in any case, I'm genuinely all patience at this moment.

Still long wait for receiving the good wishes but feeling hopeful;)
Security is not started yet, only background is completed. GCMS is with no issues/red flags.
Everything is not started. I guess They just kept the file aside after accepting and processing/entering the details from my application. Our both notes mentions all the data we have entered. Nothing unusual.

It seems that your spouse file was sent to Security Screening, which is part of BG. It took around 9 months for her SS to be completed by CSIS, hence you see her BG is completed now. So congrats, usually LPP completes quickly in 3-4 weeks after SS is cleared. Then eventually the oath invite in few weeks. So you are almost done. I was checking your earlier posts, seems you had BGC on 23 Feb, 2023. So may be 22-Feb was the date when security got started. Check in GCMS notes, the page where its written Security Clearance, and see whats the start date and last update date, also on criminality page, whats the start date for your spouse, its the date when security was started and the case file was sent to CSIS. It will help us understand exactly how many months or days it took for you, while we are speculating our SS completion.

Is the Security screening different from the background check? Doesn't everyone go through a security clearance?

Background check consists of mainly two components - criminality and security, where former is dealt by RCMP (often triggers FP Req) and the latter is dealt by CSIS. Yes, security is being conducted for every applicant like criminality, but for some its simple request (normal) which is usually be done in 24 hrs, while for some the complex request (extended one the security screening) which takes 6-8 months usually, but lately since Sept no significant cases been observed anecdotally pertaining to SS completion within 8 months, hence many are stranding and even a few including myself approaching 9 months and no news yet from CSIS, may be its backlog or halt the CSIS is dealing with hence the delay, thus we are speculating and concerned.

For me :
Criminality
Created : 2023/01/20
Updated : 2023/02/22
due date : 2023/04/05
PASSED

Security info is somehow missing the dates section - only half page with name is present.

Eligibility (LPP) : not started
Due date : 2024/01/15

For my Spouse :
Security: not started
Created Date: 2023/01/20
Updated Date: 2023/01/20
Due Date: 2023/02/19

Criminality : not started
Created Date: 2023/01/20
Updated Date: 2023/01/20
Due Date: 2023/04/05

Eligibility (LPP) : not started
due date :2024/01/15

As seen from GCMS, due date is irrelevant. We are already past the due dates and Eligibility, Security and Criminality has not started yet. Suspecting it may be changing soon.

So 20th Jan is AOR for both of you. 22 Feb is when security was started alongwith criminality. Which is completed now, thats why you see BGC. CBSA notes are in more structured format, though both IRCC and CBSA GCMS notes are heavily redacted thats why you wont see much in security section, eventhough its completed. Mine started on 08 Feb, so should be soon completed.
PS: the notes were generated earlier than bg completed afterwards, hence you dont see actual dates in spouse section, whose BG got completed now.

Yes, I guessed based on the format and layout.
I updated the post with Eligibilty due date of 2024 Jan. I think we are still few months away or maybe few weeks
