Online Citizenship Application (Adult with 2 minor children)

I want to inquire if anyone recently applied online citizenship application for self (Adult) and minor Children.
I have received feedback for using form 5(2) but got confused as some one recently applied told me about doing it via 5(1).
Just wanted to confirm if someone recently did it. Appreciate any guidance?

Minor has
a Canadian parent or
a parent who is applying for citizenship at the same time

Minor 5(1)
Minor does not have
a Canadian parent or
a parent who is applying for citizenship at the same time

I'm not certain who advised you to consider 5(1), as it typically applies to children whose parents have applied for citizenship ahead of them or who are independently applying for a child. 5(1) also has an additional condition that the child must have been physically present in Canada for 3 out of the last 5 years.

I'm curious about your dilemma to go with the more restricted 5(1) section when things tend to be simpler under 5(2).

I am not sure if i am reading it correctly, of does it imply all 3 conditions in bullet points for paper application while if not crown servant can apply via online
