Age limit 50-60 eligible to get PR through LMIA on visitor visa

Person of age 50 or 60 years old and currently on visitor visa in Canada if eligible to get PR after getting the LMIA/Work permit. Or not eligible to become permanent resident after getting the LMIA at the age of 50 or 60 who is already visitor visa here in Canada? Thanks in advance.

Technically you would be eligible however it may be very difficult to be selected due to lack of points because of age.

You would need to see if even eligible for Express Entry (probably not) or a PNP program based on your age, ECA, IELTS, work experience and LMIA (assume skilled). Do you have an employer willing to support your nomination and offer you not only a LMIA but a permanent full time job.

You may or you may not be. It depends on many factors. Having a permanent full time job does not guarantee that you will qualify or guarantee PR.

A job doesn’t guarantee PR nor does working for the employer. Many people work in Canada on a work permit and don’t get PR. Will depend on age, education, language, past work experience etc. 1. Are you even eligible for Express Entry? 2. If not, then what PNP program are you eligible for that is not through Express Entry.
