Hi all
I got married this summer with my wife. I'm a Canadian citizen and currently studying a 5 year program in the States (currently in my second year). My wife used to study in Toronto and is currently studying in Singapore. But she holds a valid PGWP. The timeline is that she graduates at the end of this year and she will be in Canada in January of 2024.
We are filling out the outland application for her and aiming to submit the application in September.
My questions are the following:
1. Will she be able to enter Canada in January? Because from what I understand you cannot go to Canada if you are applying with outland application. Is it still true if she holds a valid PGWP?
2. Since my program won't be finished in 4+ years, I'm discussing the possibility of working remotely from Canada with my employer. I don't know what that means for my residence status, but will this be a satisfactory intention to move back to Canada after my wife gets her PR.
Thank you for your help in advance!
