Do accerlated rech pathway process of Alberta really provides PR in 6 months ? Or it can take more time as well ? If anyone from outside Canada applied under this stream and got PR , please share your timeline

Most PNP applications are processed within 10 months according to IRCC. I'm an EE Alberta PNP (inland)- just ticked over 6 months with just my Medicals left to go. Some PNP's in other threads were processed within 3-4 months (like a work colleague of mine under the same stream/NOC) others have taken longer. It's a case by case basis really.

Does your EE Application on GCKey show CANXXXX for your UCI or a 10/11 digit number with no CAN (your regular UCI)?

If it shows CANXXX it has not been completed yet
If it shows Normal UCI - it's been completed and OK

Hi Sean,

Thanks for the quick response. Yes my UCI number is updated to 10 digit number from CANXXXX one.

Somewhere I read/heard that the RC10 OK is done once in your EE profile, you will see the Review of eligibility as complete or done. In my case it is showing as below:

Review of eligibility
  • We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Also, my Biometric details are updated in GIC portal, but in the Application Status Tracker it still says "In Progress", do you know if the GIC portal takes more time to get updated? Can I use the Application Status Tracker as reliable information?

In Application Status Tracker it shows four details as below:
Biometrics: In Progress
Medical exam: Completed
Eligibility: Completed
Background verification: In Progress

Can I conclude that R10 is done and can proceed for the Bridging Open Work Permit?

Thanks in advance!!

R10 is 100% done yes.

Eligibility on GCKey will stay at "we are reviewing" for the entire time. Mine didn't get changed to complete until after I got my eCOPR

But yes, you'll be fine to submit it now. Just for your information, I submitted a BOWP application on 2nd of May (even though my WP was expiring in April 2024) just as an insurance policy more than anything. It's now been 2 months, and it still has had no action on it (even though I've requested twice to have it withdrawn because my PR got approved)

I wouldn't be worried about the status of your biometrics on the tracker if they're updated on GCKey, it'll be completed shortly. If you're worried that your security / BGC will take a long time, I would submit a BOWP application, especially if your current work permit (if you're inland) is expiring in the next few months, However, if your eligibility has been completed, then you really shouldn't be too far away from having your PR application approved.
