Bottom line: If it’s taking much longer than usual you can consider raising GCMS notes. In our case we feel we were stuck for almost 5 months waiting for passport request and only after raising inquiry request they suddenly realized our application is stuck.

I did include Consent form from both my father and mother. That was enough in my case.

I hope somebody can help me with my situation.

I was married 2017 and SP approval for my ex spouse March 2018. We got divorced last March 2019. I applied my parents application October 2021. I know that I am responsible for 3 years of sponsorship to my ex spouse and it was done last March 2021, so I thought I am only family of 3 (three). I have linked their application and was link for 3 members. Unfortunately, I received a letter that I am not eligible to sponsor my parents because my ex spouse still in effect.

I received another letter stating that I have 30 days to add more details regarding about my income.

What Should I do? What are documents that I need to provide so they re consinder that we are only 3 members now?

Please help , if there is somebody same in my situation.

For the years you were married up until you were divorced your spouse would be counted in your family size and you would need to meet LICO for that family size. What years have you not met LICO for the family size including your ex-spouse?

If sexychill applied for 2021 PGP, then income from 2018, 2019 and 2020 needs to me LICO and continue to meet it until application is finalized.
he/she was still married in 2018 - 2019 and ex-spouse still on undertaking until March 2021, I believe income needs to count the ex-spouse until the undertaking period is over. LICO 2018 - 2021 needs to meet family size of 4 instead of 3. income for 2022 would need to (continue to if application still under process) meet size of 3 onward.

hi Sam and other who have done reassessments. We applied for lottery year after. We had a reassessment, just ticked for IRCC to directly see the tax returns. However, did u have to attach the NOA, reassessment or was that something they were able to get and understand directly from their internal system? Thanks!

also may I know which category you select there? because they do not have family class PGP . they have family class for spouse. so did you select that one or we should select permanent resident ? not sure which described best tho?

Hi Guys,
Please guide me here. My parents are here in Canada since quite some time now on visitor's visa. We recently got their medical done at the end of March this year as a part of visa extension process, their extension got approved even before submitting the medical. However we did our due diligence, since this was asked from us.

Their PR application from 2021 was also in process in parallel, and last week we got another request for medical for their PR application. As mentioned above, they are still here in Canada on visitor's visa. Do we need to go through another medical exam for this PR application or can we submit their IME numbers from their extension application from March this year?

Can you please tell from which VFS office you have sent the passport? I sent it on June 5 through VFS Jalandhar and still haven't received back. It is sitting at IRCC office New Delhi for processing since June 9, 2023 and no movement.

Would it be possible for you to check VFS notifications and provide the timeline they took from processing until dispatching? Your help would be greatly appreciated.
