I actually don't know the dates. We have an immigration consultant working on our application. They sent us the email today regarding the passport request.
Let's hope they do it this week. Sometimes i wonder if we should play out reverse psychology for these VOs outloud in the social media - perhaps name and shame them. Start a website and weekly youtube podcast, naming performance of different Canadian visa offices. Im sure it will garner some traction somewhere in the IRCC - and might put some heat under someone's b**** back
.True.. They are simply taking so much time for all the applications , taking forever to process one application. Millions of ppl are waiting with fingers crossed, atleast some updates or news in a month would give some relief. Here, we are with no updates and giving lot of waiting game to ppl. Yeah I agree. we never received any update after doing medical in February. Next update we received after the medical request was the pre arrival letter which we received at the end of May
We haven't received the pre arrival too . Medical updated on March 24

Firstly Congrats! 6 months and you got PPR. This is really encouraging for all outland applicants.
Eligibility starts at 5th month, while BG check takes 2 months to complete.
Many of my consultancy's clients received PPR today . We are still waiting with background verification is there anything to worry? All of us applied around same timeline and they received PPR today.
NOTHING TO WORRY!!!! I guess you should know by now the CIC does not work in a systematic fashion. Or atleast, it doesnt appear that way from our perspective. Perhaps because we dont know the path/time our each individual application took. There are number of factors, other than applicants from one single consultancy.
Plus, what can you do if you get worried? The ones who had contacted even MPs or called IRCC or sent a WebForm - we all know that its mainly an info outlet. Nothing goes inside to CIC Officer....ofcourse there are few exceptions.
I'd say give it till Monday to wait for an update/email from IRCC, before you even bother to think about taking any action.
