Hi there,
I am looking to sponsor my husband who is from France. Our situation is different and easier?
Here are the facts:
We met years ago and dated.
Went years without contact. Reconnected last year and got married October 1, 2022.
We applied for a work permit as an employer had helped with it and he got it two weeks later at the boarder when he flew to Canada.
He started working in November of 2022. It’s been just over 6 months.
He has a closed work permit for 3 years.
He has a bank account, cellphone, got his learners permit here, and has health insurance coverage through me. I make good money but with his income we are doing alright. I am sponsoring him but he is making money as well and lives here and we are staying in Canada.
I am wondering if because of our situation:
1) Should we be applying under working class? Instead of family class? I heard it’s cheaper and easier.
2) I have no concerns with providing sufficient information for a spousal sponsorship. I am just wondering which of the two will be faster.
3) for Outland and inland, do you suggest one or the other? We plan to go to France this year for 3 weeks for Christmas but that’s it. Will this be an issue? If my husbands work permit is closed, then does it really matter? I’m assuming we wouldn’t have to apply for an extension? Or do we?
Thank you!!
