What was the outcome during your medical exam? Did you pass it? Were you sent for further testing or specialist? Did you fail?

I am freaking out, i had very bad insomnia and it only got better after I started taking SSRI (lexapro) never stopped working going to school and never attempted or considered suicide.

can someone please advise.

No issue as long as you have never been hospitalized, especially in the past 5-10 years, for your mental health issues and your mental health has not prevented you from being able work and/or study for periods of time (not a day but longer periodsof time). Fairly common for people to be receiving treatment for some form of mental health issue these days. You do need to declare your medication use and would explain that you use it to treat your insomnia and it has helped.

IRCC has access to a certain amount of information to help them determine whether someone will put excessive demands on the healthcare system and for information in cases of medical surveillance. Any physician in your province has access to your e-records so the panel doctor would be able to see your medical history and your medication use. When you go to the ER, for example, the medical team is able to pull up your medical history in the province. The pharmacist is also able to see your medical history so they know if you’ve already received a flu shot this year for example. Having medical e-records also helps prevent double doctoring and the government actually keeps records of patients who receive controlled substances.

Do you know what are the chances of being asked to be assessed by a psychiatrist and approximately how much does that cost in Canada ??…
