Hello all.
I'm a 59 yr. old American who fell in love and would like to marry a sweet Canadian gal. She is 55 years old and has two grown children. We don't plan any more children. If we deciede to get married I would retire from my job here in the states and move to Canada with her. So my question(s) are:
How would I become a Canadian citizen? Would I be able to have a dual citizenship?
Thanks in advance for your help.

First, your new wife has to file a sponsorship application and you have to apply for Permanent Resident visa. The application process takes between 3-9 months. Once you have lived in Canada, as a PR, for 3 years (in a 4 year period) you can apply for citizenship. The process to apply and gain citizenship takes about 8-12 months.

Yes, you can have dual citizenships
