Education history for Express Entry

Hello All,

Under the Application/profile details part of the express entry application, there is a section education section which I do not know exactly how to fill out. I would appreciate it if someone can help me with the following questions:
Do I need to write my latest education which is a Master's degree or I must put all my education history such as diploma, bachelor's, and master's degree? do I need an ECA number for all of them or just for the latest one?
Also, is there any difference between full-time and part-time study duration in the acceptance process?

1) If your Master's degree is deemed the equivalent of a Canadian Master's degree in the ECA, you only need to evaluate that. This is what I did for both my spouse and for me. However, you may be aware that in some cases foreign Master's degrees are evaluated as the equivalent of post graduate diplomas - in such a case you should also have your bachelor's degree evaluated so that you can claim points for "two qualifications" which is a bit lower than the points for a Master's degree but still decent.
2) Does not really matter to the immigration agency - you get points for whatever the credential assessment agency says is your Canadian education equivalent. For the credential assessment agency - you may want to search online to check how degrees similar to your own have been assessed by WES, IQAS, ICES etc.

I sent my degree to WES and they equivalent it to the masters in Canada as well.

For your expression of interest (Express Entry profile), you can just put your master's degree under education. Later, when you fill in your PR application (after you are invited), you may mention other education under personal history (if it was in the past 10 years), but again only the master's degree in the education. This means you will only need to back up the ECA verified degree.

Also, I have a Master of construction management, does anyone know what field of study it is? Is it fall under "Architecture and other services" or should I pick "Others"?
My master's was less than 15 hours per week, if I choose part-time are they not gonna accept my master's? do they evaluate scores based on full-time or part-time education?

You don’t need the ECA, just the Canadian higher level degree is enough. (I did bachelors in China and masters in Canada)

Okay thank you. Did you add the bachelor information in Personal History or education history Post-ITA? And do we need to upload any documents related to bachelor's while submitting PR application?

I added in education history both of my degrees. For my bachelor one, I attached a transcript and diploma. For my Masters, attached the same. I went with the lawyer and he did everything by the book. On this forum, I have seen many putting only the highest degree in their education history and other ones in Personal history.

That is best approach. I have also done so even though ECA was done for the highest. Atleast that gives an officer one less excuse to ask for ADR.

Just wanted to clarify. After ITA, in the education part, you put only the diploma you were getting points for ? And do you know if we are not claiming points for education of spouse if it is ok to not put anything there ? Thanks for your time !

Didnt they ask for bachelor ECA? I am in the same situation where I have mentioned my bachelors in education history although I have canadian masters degree. Removing the bachelors now after receiving the ITA will contradict the info I put in while creating the EE profile, while providing the ECA for bachelor isn't an option considering the timelines.

I am fairly sure that in most cases you just need to provide the highest degree. If your highest degree is not from Canada (as mine was) you need to do an ECA, and sometimes they ask to also verify your bachelor degree (I wasn't, just did ECA for my Singapore masters).

I would not worry too much about changing things from the EE profile. I made several changes - including taking out work experience. Unless your score falls below the threshold for invitation (which should not be the case for you), you will be fine
