Yup.

They were almost back to standard processing times when the strike started. They now reckon it will take until end of summer for them to catch up.
I couldn't find the article in the link mentioning that it would take till end of summer to catch up. Did IRCC announce it somewhere else?

Tracker updated with rescheduled oath ceremony for May 25. Previous oath was April 25 - SCR office.

Sigh...OK. Hopefully, that is more applicable for visas and PRs since they form the bulk of the apps. Fingers crossed.
Condidering there is a labour shortage I think a qualified workforce, temporary or permanent, is a priority.

Why would, or should, citizenship applications be prioritized?

Tracker got updated for me today but don’t see the new/rescheduled ceremony date. Original date was April 24th and that’s still displaying in the ‘Application History’ section.
Processing office - Vancouver.
Sent a web form, and emailed the Vancouver ceremony email address asking if/when the new date for my ceremony would occur; still waiting for a response

Same here. Got a ghost update today on the tracker. Oath date still shows the original one, April 27th (SCR office).
Emailed them yesterday asking for the new ceremony date, but no response yet :(

Perhaps. But the so-called prioritized apps for permanent and temp workforce have always had a significantly higher backlog, and I don't see why an eight-day long break should change things drastically (so much so that it would take months to catch up these 8 days worth of work). And considering that they are already scheduling canceled oath ceremonies (resulting in a few weeks of delay for these people), I don't see why there should be an issue with citizenship apps in other stages of the process. Yes, there would some delay (but a few weeks and not several months). Either way, there is no way to predict how things would move ahead. One can only hope they would return to their standard processing times soon.

Strongly recommend, I sent a simple flight conformation for my vacation attached to the ceremony email and got a in person rescheduled date for next week, nothing to try don't discourage no one, cece.

send another email with proof 747-captain ,do it
Thank You!!! Your suggestion worked perfectly!!!!!!! Yesterday, I sent them an email with my confirmed international flight ticket receipt for June 2nd and proof, requesting an earlier oath date.

I just got an email this morning that they've rescheduled me for the IN-PERSON ceremony on May 12th at 12:30pm (Scarborough office). They said I should get the invitation in the next 2 business days! So incredibly happy AND RELIEVED!!!

Wish all the best for everyone on here, that they get their rescheduled oaths at the earliest!

Lads, I was originally scheduled for May 8th Ceremony which is next week Monday.
Got my notice to appear email on March 8th before the strike, that's one month prior notice and my ceremony date still stand with no cancelation after the strike. Just wondering if any mate on here have the same schedule 8th May like i do?

Office: Manitoba.
Congrats to everyone of us scheduled for oath ceremony.
I am for May 8 as well. Office is Manitoba. I have not received any cancellation notice. Hoping it will push through on Monday.

There's no valid reason for them to cancel, strike is over.
Couple people with scheduled oath ceremony before the strike went ahead and got their oath ceremony done today.
Do you have your notice to appear email yet?

Manitoba office: see you on Monday virtual.
