PR card timeline (Etobicoke office only)

Hi everyone,
I got my ecopr on March 23rd and no updates since then. I have linked my pr card application to my gckey account as well.
I have plans to visit the US by private vehicle and I'm not sure if I will be able to come back to Canada without a pr card. With IRCC workers going on strike, I'm afraid I won't get the pr card on time. Do I need to apply for a PRTD before coming back to Canada? How long does it take?

You don’t need to do anything, they will initiate the PR card application for you. In the meantime, you can link your application to your MyCIC account for tracking.

I’m not sure, I’m not at that step yet once the address is approved you get eCOPR, but the photo stays in review - this is my current state. Once it’s approved, the card would be sent to production. From what I read you’ll receive GU for photo approval, and another GU for card sent to production (?). You can read past posts here for more info.

Yeah same. Honestly, I don't think I'm going to link it to the GC, I checked GC for GUs every day for approval, it was draining. Guess the PR card will come when it comes lol, the eCOPR was the main thing. They can't take that away from me lol

I got eCOPR on 8th March 2023, still there is no update on PR card.

Should we call IRCC or write an email to someone ? Do you have any idea how to expedite PR Card process.

I guess write them and explain the emergency after 35 days from the March 08, 2023 to cover the current processing time. So it is reasonable for both the parties.

In the same boat, eCOPR on March 8 and no update. Hope this strike does not screw up with the timelines again.

What exactly is ghost update for pr card ? Has been waiting for the initial card. E-COPR March 13. in pr portal address approved and photo in review since that day. in cic account it is just "submitted" since March 15
