Hi All,

I have a question. My brother (PR of Canada) just got married in India. What would be the fastest option to bring her to Canada? He spoke to few immigration specialists but everyone gave a different answer. One said apply for a PR Sponsorship (outland) and once that is done apply for a visitor visa. Few said apply for visitor visa and then once she is here in Canada, apply for sponsorship PR (inland). He is confused now.

Any suggestions from the experienced members here? I couldn't find any info on the immigration website.

Thank you!

There's going to be no clear answer to this question.

Fastest is the TRV. However there's also probably a 50/50 chance the TRV will be refused.

He can apply for the TRV first, hope it's approved, and then apply inland once she is in Canada. However if the TRV is refused, then he will have lost time and will then have to submit an outland application.

He can also apply for outland sponsorship and the TRV more or less at the same time. That will get the wait time for the spousal sponsorshp application processing time underway immediately. If the TRV is approved, she can then travel to Canada for a visit before becoming a PR.

Note that your brother must be living in Canada to sponsor her for PR regardless of whether he applies inland or outland.

The FASTEST option to bring her to Canada, would be on an airplane. LOL!

@scylla has pretty much covered the options for her to hopefully become a PR. :)
