Hi Everyone;

Received AOR today (application was submitted in Dec 2022) - couple of questions if someone could help :-
1. AOR has sponsor UCI instead of Principal applicant UCI?
3. Not able to link the application after trying all the information?
2. The form asking about IMM 5768 form if not already included (is there any harm to submit again - if not where to submit)?
3. Also for the income requirement:
Year 2019 the gross income is $58,081.29( husband and wife <co-sponsor>) - parent (only one alive) living in India.
Year 2020 the gross income is $(112,021.42 (husband and wife <co- sponsor>) - parent (only one alive) living in India.
Year 2021 the gross income is $147,370.89 ( husband, wife <co-sponsor> and one child) - parent (only one alive) living in India.

I would like to know, if I meets the 2019 income requirement.

Thank you.
Yes you do fr 3 person 2019 income req. Is $50414

You,your wife and 1 parent.

Form only needed to submit if you havent submitted already with application!!

Not sure about uci but it dont matter according to me since all the application is about parent sponsorship right ! However if you still want to make sure call or web form ircc!!

Hi folks,

I recently started prepping sponsorship PR apps for my parents. I have a few questions that are not clarified in the 2002 intake guide 5772 (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/application-forms-guides/guide-5772-application-sponsor-parents-grandparents.html), and I was not able to find answers in this forum. Please, provide as detailed info as you could. I know this is a long one - I really appreciate your help!

Background:
- My father and mother are divorced (yes, two separate apps);
- I'm the only child;
- My father married after the divorce. This new marriage occurred over 3 yrs ago. There's been no change to his marriage status since then. As a result, now I have a step mom and a step sis;
- My mother stayed divorced;
- Step mom and step sis have no intention to migrate to Canada, ever. If they are to visit here, they will apply for tourist VISAs;
- I intend to sponsor only my father and mother under family class PGP PR program;
- I'm representing my parents, step mom, and step sis (yes, 4 IMM5476 filled).

Questions
1. There's a rep portal for licensed reps (https://prson-srpel.apps.cic.gc.ca/en/rep/login), but since I'm a non-licensed, unpaid family member acting as the rep, is there a different rep portal for my case? Or, do I just use the Permanent Resident Portal (https://prson-srpel.apps.cic.gc.ca/en/login)?

2. Once the portal to use is determined, can I submit both applications in that portal under one account , or do I have to register two different accounts, then one at a time, log into the portal with one account and submit one app?

3. Calculating total family size - For my father's application, the family size in IMM5768 is 4 (father, step mom, step sis, me); For my mother's app, the family size is 2 (mother, me). Since I'm submitting both applications at the same time, will my income for the past three years be assessed for 5 (hopefully), or 6 people?

4. My income for the past three years was enough for 5 people (father, mother, step mom, step sis, me). But, how/where do I indicate that I'm ONLY sponsoring father and mother? Step mom and step sis have no intention to move to here at all.

5. If instead, I decide to only sponsor one parent total at this time. How soon will I be able to sponsor another parent? Can I keep this unused slot for the other parent for future use, or will I have to go through the intention to sponsor application, followed by prized draw again to be eligible?

6. lastly, IMM5476 is for applicant to designate, discontinue, or change representatives. But the below statement seems to indicate that the sponsor has to fill it for themselves too; however this form literally does not apply to sponsors?

IMM 5476 (excerpt from 2002 intake guide 5772 webpage)
  • If using an authorized representative, this form must be provided by both the sponsor and the principal applicant. For sponsorship applications, you must complete and provide separate forms for the sponsor and principal applicant.
I'm in the same situation as you. But my parents just got divorced without any new marriages. The invitation letter I receive didn't specify who/how many I can sponsor. So I did two separate applications for both of them based on that one invitation letter. Is it the right way to do so since they're divorced? Or that one invitation letter can only sponsor one parent?

It is not a high priority for IRCC compared to most other visas and permits because except a small number of cases the applicants aren’t benefitting Canada and can actually be a large drain on resources. There is clearly a benefit to the actual family but usually not Canada in general. The parents usually have the option to appply to visit on a supervisa while waiting for the their PGP application to be processed. There are very few countries that allow parents and grandparents to be sponsored with access to public healthcare and receive other supports right away or in 10 years. Having the option to sponsor and already being selected means that you have already been quite lucky.
At a cursory level, yes - but there are plenty of more nuanced reasons for them to allow PGP apps.

- Families that are complete in Canada tend to stay in Canada, including their sponsor. Sure, sponsors from some countries won't find much of an incentive to go back, but not the case with G-20, or a hypothetical G-50. An ailing parent back home can convince a highly skilled sponsor to pack up and leave.

- Family tourism back into the source countries is huge. That's a lot of money that can stay in Canada and benefit Canadian businesses.

- Drain on healthcare resources / support services is partly offset by the new spending. Parents need a place to live, food to eat, and clothes to wear. They want to see the country. They may bring new money with them too. It's a plain mathematical increase in population that helps Canadian businesses.

- Quite possible that at least some parents will bring new skills to contribute to the economy directly. Or they might learn once in Canada.

1) if its in english too then no need to do anything if not we need to get it translated from authorized person

2)fill what is fill able print it then write with blue pen (as we did on 5406 nd parents signed with pen)

3) the form 5406 says on top anything that is empty or dont know write not applicable

Hope this helps!!

Invitation letter dnt says anything you can sponsor 1 2 or 4 people too ( ex. Mom dad grand mom grand dad) its all on your income plus your family all together family person=income requirement.

As in your case 1 person you can do for sure but im not sure when parents are divorced what is the process so i suggest call ircc or hire a rep. Or do both!!

Hi all,

I have received an email from IRCC for my mother's PR application submitted in Dec, the letter says following in the beginning:

Dear XXX <My Name>,

This letter confirms that your Application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class was received
by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) at the Case Processing Centre in
Mississauga on behalf of the following family member(s):

<Mother name>

Please note that the following documentation will be required for your sponsorship
application to determine whether you meet the minimum necessary income requirements to
sponsor a parent or grandparent. In order to minimize processing delays, if not already included
in your application, please obtain and submit as soon as possible:

 A completed and signed authorization form – IMM 5768 - Financial Evaluation for Parents
and Grandparents Sponsorship providing your Social Insurance Number.

Is this the AOR email?
Also, I have already submitted the hand signed IMM 5768 form while submitting the application.
Is it just for information that in case that form is not submitted, then please submit? So is this a standard AOR template which everyone gets?

Hi,

I also seem to have got the AOR email, but when I search the app in the application status tool, I don't find it.

Did you apply online or by paper?

I have also asked another query in previous message, in case you know the answer, please reply.
