January 2022 - Citizenship Applications

Oath was on Feb 6th. Citizenship status changed to "Closed" dated on Feb 8th. Reason: We have approved your application to become a Canadian citizen. The update was posted in the tracker on Feb 10th.

My tracker was available throughout the entire time unlike many people who weren't able to access it shortly before the oath.

I'll update once I've received the certificate. The clerk said it would take 4 weeks.

My oath office is MBSK. Could be related to different offices. Also it took 2 days for the update to show up after my application was closed. I've also seen people receiving their certificates while the tracker still said "in-progress".

It's helpful to see other people's timelines, but there is so much variation that it's hard to predict what happens to your application based on what happened to others.

Also Scarborough office - logged into the tracker and saw oath invitation for March 13.
Oath was updated to "in progress" on Jan 19th, no email yet.

I moved after submitting application - filled out a webform at some point, but not sure whether it ever went through (online wasn't working).

Same office, oath scheduled 23 Feb as per tracker. No email yet and it should be received few days before the date so don’t worry.

For me, everything (Language, Physical presence and Prohibition) has been completed in the tracker today, Oath not started but it's showing "additional information required". Has this happened to anyone here?

My office is Kitchener and I am one of those Jan 2022 paper applications that's still pending. Test done in June 2022, interview Jan 2023, now everything completed today but still "additional information required". Any idea what could it generally be?

Did they ask you to submit anything in the past? like finger prints or passport copies?

Sometimes they are asking people for all copies of passport pages.

Any idea what could it be about?

They seem to be asking some individuals to send in all copies of their passport pages. Not sure what case yours is, but if you didn't submit all the pages of the passport with the application, then it could be that.
