Does your spouse's work permit predate your study permit or did you get your study permit first?

Something doesn't feel right from Consultant advise plus Flag-polling without valid TRP and in violation of terms of previous SP. I think Supervisor was not at POE post by the time to make final decision, but my intention is not to scare poster. wish it turns out positive since there is no enough information provided.

Agreed with what you have written. There is not enough information here to really provide guidance. The reason why I am asking the questions I am asking is due to the foreign principal national rule. If the OP held a study permit before the spouse got the work permit, then by the rules the OP dose not qualify for an open work permit.
