Hi everyone
Wondering if anyone can shed light or have any sort of info as per situation below. Wanting to help my friend out here since.
So my buddy applied for his mother's PR through the sponsorship program. He has provided all the documents related to her but CIC is asking documents for his father as well as per the brackets (Police Clearance, Medical, Schedule A, IMM 5406). Now his father doesn't have a passport nor has any intention to come to canada as a PR or accompany her. Also his father won't be able to get a Police Clearance nor do the medical since he has no passport. So basically, his mom's application is kind of stuck because of his father's lacking in all these.
Question - Why are they requiring PCC and medical of the father when he is not even the applicant? Is there a way around this? He has already emailed ICC stating his ability not to provide these documents. Would appreciate if anyone can shed a light on this if anyone faced similar situation?
