Another hopeless week as a Vancouver applicant. Now this is my 13th month going since the application. No updates since 17th December ghost update. Only test is completed on October 14th. Radio silence since then.. all of us deserves better than this... People who says "all you gotta do is wait patiently, they will give when they give" don't understand the pain and stress behind this. For someone, this could mean that their child who will be born outside Canada will be a citizen too. To another this would mean, they could spend more time taking care of their age old mother living outside of Canada, without worrying about returning to Canada for any residence or oath obligations immediately. To another it could be a job related issues. Hope this would get cleared pretty soon.
I know how you feel, the wait can be really frustrating. Everything has been completed on my profile since October 20, 2022 and it's been silence since then. Vancouver office sucks. I'm tired of checking my profile everyday cos the wait is stressing me out. I just feel stuck. This is my 13th month since I applied

We are all in this together
Any other Vancouver applicants with oath invites?
i think the officers at Vancouver office are sleeping. Life was so good before i took the citizenship test. Though i passed the test but i have been checking my tracker daily sometimes 3 times a day.. and it is depressing to see no update for the oath.

I got a change of status ('In progress' to 'Not started') as I checked it on my Tracker. It says the below.
Has anyone got this before? Does it mean they changed their mind on the ceremony and have paused my application?

passport wait times are much lower now actually if you apply in person.

I got my daughters' passport made in November. Submitted documents in person in Hamilton, Ontario and received the passport in the mail in 2 weeks. Even the border police commented as to how did my daughter get passport so quickly :p.

The only caveat here was that I made a booking for in person appointment in early October, and earliest date I was getting was 7th November.

It's the mail in applications that were taking time (which is what the passport officer told me at that time)

I wish but no - nothing of the sort. It worries me that 'in progress' is now 'not started'. Where is this going wrong, it's like a step backwards ... there are no written explanations as to why.
Physical presence was completed in August.

Vancouver is super slow in general - yawn. Might take them another year to send oath invitations.

by that do you mean making an appointment to go to a Service Canada location directly? Thank you
