Hello! Can you please help me with this..

Question 1: Do I need to certify with a public notary every single copy of every single document I will be submitting with my citizenship application (e g passport pages, 2 pieces of ID, kids’ birth certificates etc) ?

Question 2: Who should I go to to certify copies of my Marriage certificate and my kids’ birth certificates if they are not in English? Will a public notary certify my copies if he/she even does not understand the language of the document and its contents?

I am in Ontario, submitting paper applications for myself and my kids..

Thank you!

Are the originals not in English language?

If original docs are in English then you need not get notarized or anything.

You can self sign where needed

1. If in English, not required.
2. You will have to find a translator locally who will provide a certified translation of these docs. De[ending on the language / volume of docs, be prepared to spend $$$. You can find a translator here
