Medical exam for sponsoring a parent

Hello,

I am sponsoring my mother to immigrate to Canada. My father, however, is under a coma and will not immigrate to Canada with her. However, the government still asked for his medical exam results. Do we still need to submit this? Is there a way to not get this medical exam done?

I'm very sorry for your situation.

It's mandatory for your father to complete the medical and also to pass the medical in order for your mother to be approved. There is no way to get an exemption.
