There seems to be some third-party websites (like getgcms), sending requests through them would make any faster? any idea?

What we can expect from CBSA, other than entry/exit details? is there anything more we could ask from them?
I do not think its faster with using a Representative.

Also Depending on what you ask CBSA for, I asked for a copy of my application and also any officer notes and the status of my application along with any updates.

They provided what I asked for and also attached a letter from the person in charge of my file and request and their Work number and Email address so I can contact them if I need.

I also just filed a complaint to Privacy Commissioner for my ATIP since its over 120 days IRCC is too much and need to stop this madness I hope someone holds them accountable one day.

So I requested an ATIP note from IRCC on Aug 13 and still have not gotten it from them, in regard to my application, after 30 days I sent an email for an update 60 days I followed the process to email the privacy commissioner in charge of IRCC ATIP team and no reply still.

I Sent a request to CBSA for the same Note on Nov 30 and got it today. It's crazy to me it seems IRCC is so mismanaged and keeps using COVID as an excuse.

Anyways nothing new in the notes as I expected the file has not even been assigned to anyone yet. but still wanted to check in on the file and see what IRCC is up to.
So you requested your GCMS notes the day in which you sent out your application? Why would you do that?

As for CBSA request, you selected "Privacy Act" or "Access to Information Act"?

Cause I can! also the date should be Sep 13, not Aug 13.

Anyways the answer is still the same, I requested it cause I can, and with all the nonsense with IRCC you ever know.

People find out their files are assigned to Codes and Employees who does not work at IRCC and has been inactive since 2016.

I applied online this is all new for IRCC I DO NOT TRUST THEM lol, i wanted to make sure the GCMS system had my application and that it was not like never submitted while I sit here and wonder why no one with an Online application in Aug got any movement at all and my best friend who application in Aug via paper did her test already. so i just wanted to get my notes make sure eits in their system and was not somewhere in IRCC grave yards. i will request another one very soon when i feel like it and i will continue until i feel like i should stop

They all have access to GCMS, and the gov shares info. IRCC need CBSA and Vise Versa..

IRCC will obtain accurate and objective entry and exit information from the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) to support the administration of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA), the Citizenship Act and the Canadian Passport Order.

IRCC will be able to query the CBSA’s Entry/Exit Information System via the Global Case Management System (GCMS) to

  • verify residency requirements in support of applications for grants of citizenship (CIT) or permanent resident cards
  • verify if a temporary residence applicant may have previously overstayedFootnote1 their allowable period of admission in Canada
  • assist in an investigation of an individual’s entitlement to a Canadian travel document
  • verify that sponsors are residing in Canada
  • verify the residency of spouses and partners under the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class
  • verify whether or not a refugee claimant entered Canada using their travel documents and
  • support investigations of possible fraud in relation to immigration, citizenship, and passport/travel document programs
You can read it here

I really like your answer. I read somewhere in this forum someone claiming if you call or request ATIP/GCMS notes then somehow the officer will be annoyed - what a baseless idea. Anyways, as you said we need to be acting actively because we are not doing anything illegal by following up which stage our application is at. The years of taxes we are paying by working hard and then when we want to get the government services it shows how our money (tax payer dollars) are being handled..before anyone tries to correct me YES I KNOW CITIZENSHIP IS NOT A RIGHT.

It might be a coincidence but I have observed numerous where after GCMS notes, MP or calling IRCC the application moved.

Keep active!

I agree with you, whoever said an officer will be annoyed is not too smart because ATIP and Processing agents ate in two different departments and people who process applications do to process ATIP requests, its like working in a hotel and saying OMG the chef will be annoyed if I order too many drinks when its the bartender who makes the drinks LOL.

I agree too I wanna keep being proactive so I can see what is up with my application all the time, and while citizenship is not a RIGHT, getting an ATOP monthly if I want is, that A RIGHT.

I don't care if the officers get annoyed or not. I just think it's pointless to request GCMS notes a month into the process, specially if submitted your application online. But by all means don't let patience get in your way, you go get those monthly GCMS notes ;). I just feel sorry for the rest of us who will be subject to your anxiety for months ahead.
