January 2022 - Citizenship Applications

I completed the test on Oct 14th and until now, there hasnt been a single change in my tracker ...... All the fields except for Citizenship ceremoney are just "in-progress".
DN SCR - Scarborough office ...is anybody else stuck in this same timeline of no updates? Can anyone suggest the telephone number where I can reach IRCC agents?

I had a similar situation and only difference is I applied on February 6th 2022 (Online)

I completed my test on October 15th 2022 and status got strucked to InProgress for very long (till 12/06 and that was my last view in IRCC portal). I called IRCC several times and they said it was in queue with Field Office (Scarborough) and NO tentative timeline for Test Status to be updated as COMPLETE. I was little worried and have called around 15+ time from October 19th till last week.

All my Status except OATH is completed as of yesterday morning including Test and Test Status updated with completion date of October 17th 2022. This Morning my OATH date also posted with Jan 12th 2023.

This implied field office is updating the test status along with others related to OATH. I understand the pain of watching IRCC portal daily, So don't worry and it will clear all together.

I applied 3rd jan, test completed 11th oct, updated on 15th oct, language and physical presence in process.
I need to go back home in feb, should I expect oath before that? Any suggestions?

Likely before Feb Cheema Sahab. If that happens and you are close to travel just use your Indian Passport (assuming you are from India). They let you travel for 3 months when you become a Canadian Citizen.

***UPDATE*** We just got an email today from IRCC that they will conduct Virtual Oath Ceremony on 15th Dec and has invited my family member. The day I posted this message above, I also reached out to the MPA of our area and explained them the situation. Ironically, he responded saying that he will contact CIC right away, but asked us NOT to expect any response before 15th December. So i dont know if its his contact, that put some heat under some CIC officer to look and process the file they have forgotten on their desk. Not sure how CIC really operates.
Glad its finally getting over. Wishing the very best to every one here and hopefully your citizenships and passports arrive sooner than expected.

I would say it may be just coincidence that his saying & oath ceremony date are falling on the same date whatever works ultimately good for you.

We are eagerly waiting to hear about of our oath ceremony,, have travel plans soon after becoming Canadian. Need to get away from

Good question! I also got assigned west which is Vancouver. I am from Mb too, never lived or worked in Vancouver. They just randomly route application.

i think it’s a lot worse if we were assigned to mb-sk office. my friend who sent a paper app in january completed the exam on june 2022 and they still dont have the oath.

which office did your invite come from?

I haven't received a test invite email yet, only an update on the tracker. I think the email is sent 48 hours before the test start window? It is interesting to see a lot of MB applicants getting a test invite from the Vancouver office. Does that mean your file is being processed in that office and not the Winnipeg one?

update us when you find out yeah i actually requested gcnotes back in august and it showed below. When I got the test invite, was able to confirm which office is processing my app.

Should I worry if the IRCC received my FP last 2 month and the the BG still in progress nothing changed except the test to completed. I noticed everyone got BG completed after couple days of IRCC receiving their FP.

Hmm... I am not sure... based on the tracker sheets, looks like Winnipeg office doing decent job compared to Vancouver.

hmmm i dont see which office is processing which coz the tracker does not include that unless i missed it. the location on the tracker from what i understand is the location of the applicant and just basing on a few posts here, the files can be assigned in a different office especially online applicants.
