I was charged with driving under influence by police. Will it impact my citizenship assessment? I am due for the citizenship application in December 2022.

This is a serious matter. Yes, this impacts citizenship. A citizenship application cannot be processed until the charges are resolved. This could impact your PR status as well.

What was your BAC? DUIs are regarded as a serious offence as it relates to your PR status. You want to hire an excellent lawyer to get the charges reduced to a non-DUI offence (or dropped completely).
