Hi - can I invite my fiance on a visitor visa and then go for inland spousal PR? It won't be a problem right. I applied for his visitor visa but didn't show relationship. It was rejected due to generic reasons and insufficient documents. For reapplication, planning to change sponsor or can I invite again and this time show that he's fiance?
There is no "sponsor" for visitor visa. You can get another person to invite him to visit. But regardless, it needs to be his own fiance, tie to home country (job) and travel history for the visitor visa application.

Has anyone had this issue before. I am currently able to link my application on GCKey website but I still can't register on the new PR tracker website. I am getting the following error.

"Incorrect or invalid information. Review and make sure it matches the information submitted on your application. If you can’t create an account, it may be because your application is not in our system yet."

Hello,

I am a Canadian citizen and my fiancé is an Indian citizen living in India. Currently, outland spousal sponsorship is not an option.

1) Applied for visitor visa of fiancé but did not say we're engaged. Invited as a 'friend'. The visitor visa was rejected for reasons like insufficient family ties outside Canada, not sure he will depart Canada at the end of his stay and so on. The generic categories used for most visa rejections. It was an overall weak application
2) Our intention is inland spousal sponsorship. So, we will reapply for visitor visa with proper documentation and after a gap of 2-3 months. We're thinking of waiting a little and having someone else (a distant relative's family) sponsor him.
3) Is it better to submit proof of funds for fiance (had shown 5lakhs INR - approx 8000 CAD) AND the sponsoring relatives proof of funds as well?

Any red flags noticed in the above?
I was in a similar situation. We applied visitor visa for me and got rejected on generic reasons like low finances and not enough ties with the country. although we had shown 10L INR.
Basic things that generally help is
- having a letter from current company from current job that the employee will join back after let's say 2 months of visit
- ITR
- Invitation letter from friend (not spouse)

if we mention spouse, as I did - it lowers the chances at least based on I have heard in Indian cases.

we did not apply for visitors again. Tried luck on CWP.

Did you ever get your ECOPR or PR cards in mail?

I am still waiting from October 11th when I submitted everything….
No ECOPR yet
No cards in mail……
Some rumors say IRCC has stopped sending portal emails to those applicants who have obtained Copr number coz the immigration goal for 2022 reached....
I talked to 9 inland applicants who have their eligibility pass, Medi& background check done yet none of them have recieved portal invitation after late October.....

Basically yes. Otherwise you can't explain why they hold portal invites&cards since some people have passed all checks....
The only plausible explanation could be, they just want to count you as 2023 landing immigrant

That’s crazy. And I passed everything. I submitted my portal details (they emailed me the log in details) and I submitted it and heard nothing since.

I am just waiting…..and waiting…..and waiting….it’s been a long road

People need to keep in mind that this is a rumor. I know a few applicants who got COPR number in late October and then got the portal invite in early November, so, don't freak out folks. I'm also stuck at this stage, but it's better to be stuck at this stage than at, say, waiting for AOR.
