Dear all,

Kindly advise. My sister study permit application was refused the second time with the following reason.

Reason for refusal are
1. I sm not satisfied that you will leave Canada st the end of your stay as contained in paragraoh R216 (1)(b)
2. You do not have significant family ties.
3. Your purpose of visiting canada is not consistence with a temporary stay
4. Your current employment status does not show you are financially established in your country.
5. You do not provide sufficient document to support your application.

So , these are the exceptions.

Please what can she do? Or is there a need to call for an assistance. She wanted to come with her 2 kids 5yrs and 3yrs old.

You need to post her profile - age, work experience, education, program applied for, family etc. If applying with 2 kids she would also need to show the funds for daycare since not in school so estimate that per month ($2-3K). More for daycare depending where she lives. So that is an extra $24-30K per year on top of tuition and living expenses. What is her job now?

Age=28
Work experience= 7yrs in a financial institution(bank)
Education = Bsc human resources
Family = married with 2 kids
Program applied for= child care and support.

So 1) Her program must be a post grad. program if she has a BSc. Assume the child care program is a diploma. 2) Her program must build on her career in banking. Childcare is not related 3) She must pick a program that will pay more than banking to justify costs of program. Childcare, at least in Canada, is a minimum wage job.

How much in funds did she show? Was her husband not coming too? If he applied with the children, she has no family ties in home country.

No point in reapplying unless she changes program to a MBA or post grade degree/diploma. If doesn't have the funds for her own tuition, living, expenses and child care per year, then she should apply on her own.

1. So if husband is not willing to come who looks after the children? She will be in class during the day and some evening courses. How much did she in show in funds? Childcare is very expensive and with long waiting lists. She will not have the time to work and go to school. Few daycares are open weekends. Where is she studying? Has she even looked into daycare?
2. Apply for a public not private DLI. If doing a MBA, complete GMAT, IELTs.
3. Documents…transcripts, IELTs, GMAT, daycare registration with funds to pay for daycare.

1. 20 million CDN dollars?
2. Each Masters program will have different entry requirments, and IELTs will most likely be one.
3. Don’t know what vacant days mean. So who looks after the kids?

20m Naira.
What of them option of coming alone. Somebody can handle the children back in Nigeria. And bring the children later with her hubby.
Vacant day means days she can work.

She can apply on her own. Then later, apply for chidren and spouse's TRVs. They will still need to show their own funds, travel history and ties to home country. Their TRVs may be refused.

So that is all they have for savings? If all the savings are to study in Canada, then how will her children and husband live well. That is an issue too. If doing a Masters, it will be even more expensive.

Great day. Trust you sre doing great.

Can she use the proof of fund from her husband company. Can the husband use his company statement for her ( the husband has a company)

2. Is test of English compulsory or not alk school request it. Will it cause a refusal of her study permit or visa?

3. What is the minimum expected in her acc to take care of her or a family of 4( herself, husband and 2 children)

Regards

Should be personal funds, not business. IELTS is usually required. Check with the school’s requirements. Information for minium amount of funds is on study permit website after paying tuition. Because she has two small children include funds for childcare.

About the English test, each education institution has its own criteria. You should investigate them one by one. Having an English test is not a requirement for non SDS applications but having one with good scores can improve your profile and not having one can generate doubts on the part of the VO.

The husband has concluded to follow her to handle the children and the only account the husband has is the business account(corporate).

Also can she be sponsored?
