Work Permit application (BOWP) - Urgent processing

Hello,

I have applied for a bridging work permit in July as my current work permit (and work visa) were expiring in September.
My grand-mother passed away today, do you know if it is possible for me to call IRCC and ask for urgent processing as I want to go visit my family?

So sorry about your grandmother. A BOWP is not a TRV. Do you have a valid TRV to come back to Canada? There is no expedited processing.

No I dont have a valid TRV, it also expired this September...

You need to apply for a TRV.

There is only one kind of TRV unless you are from a visa exempt country. Realized that you don’t have a valid work permit. Leaving without a TRV and applying outside of Canada will take many months to process.

It seems you cannot apply for a new TRV within Canada. If you leave Canada without a TRV then you apply outside Canada. Depending on the country, if you apply outside Canada, processing will take many months.
