Couldn’t get SIN at ServiceCanada

I couldn’t get my SIN at Service Canada as they say they are not able to validate my Work Permit. He gave me two options-
1. He will escalate my application to head office and it will take couple of months.
2. Go to Calgary airport and ask Immigration officer to correct whatever the mistake is.
What should I do? If someone has been through same process can you please guide me.

There is nothing wrong with work permit visually but Service Canada was not able to validate it.

Go again and try. This time don't return empty handed just make sure to see the supervisor as it is genuine, how come they refuse it. Tell them to give in writing that they think it is not genuine. This will put them in motion.

Unfortunately we see this sometimes. The person landing you didn’t land you properly. Would call CBSA at the Calgary airport and see if you can speak to someone or you can try going to the airport and trying to speak to someone who will get in touch with immigration for you because you can’t go into the airport arrivals yourself without flying. Hopefully they can come escort you to where your WP was processed or solve the issue and bring you the WP.
