Should we use subsection 5(1) or 5(2) for our 9 year old child?

Hi,

We are all permanent residents and have completed the 1095 minimum days. We are applying with a 9 year old child who was born outside Canada (none of us are Canadian) and all of us are applying under our nationality of origin. We would lile to know if we should use the subsection 5(1) or 5(2)?.
Any hint would be appreciated, Thanks

yes he is already a PRa nd we were told to apply on apper but I am not sure at all if I should use 5(2) or 5(1)
