Hi,

I have some questions regarding co-signer. I am living here from last six years. I got married in Jan 2020 but my husband came here on PR in Sep 2021. So if I want to apply for PGP then can my husband be my co-signer?

He can be co-signer but only his income after he start filing tax in Canada can be counted into the total income.
So depending on the requirement of PGP 2022/2023...etc
you will need to meet the income requirement alone for 2020 and previous years (depending on how they count the previous 3 years before submitting PGP). And if he got a job/have income in 2021 then his income can be included in 2021 and forward.

And you need to include him in the family size starting in 2020 if the rule doesn't change in the upcoming PGP.

Technically Medical is valid for 1 year. In your case it has already been 9 months so just get it done.
if it is only 2-3 months I would suggest to raise webform informing you have done medical recently.

Unfortunately I was not approved of sponsorship because my income was short of $1012.00 in 2018. this is just sad that IRCC cannot just look passed a $1000 for which I make double that income today. Please is there any advice.

I heard you can reassess your income for previous years. Not sure. Other members can clear in a better way.

Not after you have been refused. And unless your income was really higher (you missed filing some income and you actually had), your tax returns in previous years maybe reassessed as well.

You can try again in the upcoming PGP since your income is much higher now. Since they access and refuse it so quickly, you can reapply this year (vs some that waited for 2years before they get a refusal) .
But I am not sure if they are doing lottery again for PGP 2022.

@Fred200a You can try appealing it. Just Google if you haven't received any details from IRCC to appeal the decision.
