Hey guys,
Any recommendation on packers and movers from the States to Canada?

Thanks.

Thank you for starting this thread. It will be extremely helpful for us in the near future. I contacted a few vendors using this link: http://moving. expatfinder. com/ (remove spaces) and got quotes from them.

I am contemplating between taking a U-Haul or using a mover, but it is still early for me. I am at the 50% mark in the PR process.

Hi,
Could you list the vendors here or PM me?

Thanks

From my research, U-Pack seems like the best option. They have what they call "relo-cubes" in various sizes. Once you load the cube with your items, they give you the option of keeping it for you in storage at about $100/month. Whenever your ready, you let them know and they'll deliver the cube(s) to your new address via truck. Also, their quote includes driver, taxes and fuel costs - from Atlanta to Montreal for a 2 bedroom apartment the quote I got was $1700.

Its worth looking into - i think!

That's a great quote!! I was quoted $3000+ for a 2 bedroom apartment from NJ to Toronto! I did research PODs but they did not have service in Canada. Will look into U-Pack for sure.
