September 2021 - Citizenship Applications

I know that @TasmanianTiger application was paper based. I also noticed that paper based application processing time is faster than online application as per spreadsheets.

In my case, it has been almost 3 months since I finished my citizenship test. Background and citizenship test status changed to completed but everything else is in progress. But August online applicants are getting their oath invitation within 1 to 2 months after completing the citizenship test but September online applicants are not getting the same as per spreadsheet. That is why I was asking in my previous post that "Is there any specific reason that September online applicants are getting very less oath invitation compare to August online applicants?"
In my case only Test is completed. Everything else is in progress (except Oath). Like I replied to you before, I would say lets see what happens in the month of August. I called IRCC, they right away say that 27 months is the processing time, so please wait. However I see a lot applications being processed in the time period of 12-15 months. It also depends on the local processing office.

My Application is being processed at Scarborough Processing Office.

Let me present my scenario. I opened citizenship tracker on June 6, 2022. I saw a notification saying that the Test Window is June 10 to June 30, 2022. However, I never received any email from the local processing office. I straightaway contacted IRCC. One of the agents sent me the general instructions from IRCC website on how to sign up to appear for test. I used that link on June 10 (the first day of test window) and gave the test. Till the night of June 14, it was showing in progress. But on the morning of June 15, the Test went from In Progress to Completed. June 15, 2022 was the last update. Its been more than month. I called IRCC, and they told me that Background is in progress(Security is being completed, Criminality is still in progress) and Test is marked completed. Prohibitions, Physical Presence and Language are in progress and oath (not started).

Lets wait for August and see what happens.
Kindly share your views

Regards

Yes paper applications are faster for some reason. Sounds counter intuitive.

Also my friend just got his oath ceremony invite and he applied online in July 2021. So if you are an online applicant expect a total processing time of 12 months. So for folks who applied in September, I would expect something by end of September.

My only worry is with this glitch in the system about receiving emails (I didnt get any for the test), will the oath ceremony be a problem? Hopefully not.

Even I didn’t get any email for test, but the test was marked completed which means that the test has been officially verified and scores have become official by the officer as per the following link

https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=1598&top=5

Since i didn’t receive email for the test, I called IRCC and one of the agents forwarded me the general instruction email (also available on IRCC website). The agent said that the test instruction email from local processing office (where the application is being processed) contains nothing but general instructions on how to sign up for the test.

My advise would be that whenever you log in to your tracker and see that oath is being scheduled and you haven’t received the oath email, call IRCC right away.

By the way, you and I both submitted online application on the same day (September 27, 2021)

Kindly share updates. I will let you know if I receive any update

Hi I submitted fingerprints on June 20, received by RCMP on June 23. Tracker still says waiting on you for fingerprints (4 weeks later). RCMP haven’t replied to emails.

What’s the current processing time to see an update on tracker for fingerprints received?

Hello, new update everything is completed for me on July 18 except oath. I applied online on sept 15 2021, AOR Nov 29 2021, test completed on March 24, 2022 . My office is Scarborough. Also my background was completed on March 14, 2022
Congrats! Does it say "Decision Made" as well? So basically just the Oath, i.e. formality left?

Thank you. I am an online applicant I don’t have access to the old tracker where the decision made is mentioned. I only have accès to the new tracker where everything is completed except oath which is not started.
Glad to hear that congratulations. Here only Test is completed and everything else in progress (except oath). Hope the applications pick up the speed.

Regards

It seems online applicants who applied in September are not getting much oath invitations compare to August online applicants. As per tracker sheet, August online applicants are getting their oath invitation within 1 to 2 months after completing the citizenship test. Is there any specific reason that September online applicants are getting very less oath invitation compare to August online applicants?
Thanks
Fellow August applicant (online) here. Been 3+ months since test. No DM, no Oath invite yet. Montreal office, fwiw.

I tried calling IRCC but it just keeps disconnecting. Is there a certain time of day that is advisable? Also which IVR options did you pick?
