still waiting, contacted an MP and got to know that they havent done anything with my application, they did remember to ask me for the RPRF fees in january though. I want to take legal action against them but obviously I cannot, this is borderline abuse the way they treat people
Which office? Montreal office?

Hi guys,
From my GCMS notes I found below. Last update was eligibility passed in Feb 2022.

Criminality - In progress since June 2021
Info Sharing - In progress since June 2021
Security - Not started (due date June 2021)
Medicals - passed but expired

I applied on May 22nd 2021 under CEC category. I lost my status due to WP refusal on June 15th.

Does anyone know whether I have to be in maintained status for getting my PR application finalized? I'm not allowed to work as of now until my status gets restored.

Also, is there any way we request for BOWP application stronger considering that it's a follow up from previous refusal application?

I spoke with IRCC agents but mixed reviews from different agents. So confused!!

I have similar AOR with you. But why was your WP refused? You can apply for BOWP definitely.

Thanks mate. It was because I mistakenly selected active public policy which was inactive at that time.

Any idea whether I have to be in maintained status when my PR application is finalized? Is there anyway I can make my BOWP application quicker?

My opion is that you have to maintain your legal status until your PR is finalized. You can keep working while you are waiting for BOWP with implied status. Unfortunatelly, it is very slow for work permit extension. I submitted my BOWP on January 26, 2022, and got approved July 1, 2022. Was your initial PGWP expired already?

Thanks! Actually I lost my status with refusal so I can't work till restoration is done and I get a new work permit. Initial got expired in April but I got outcome in June so between April and June I was on implied status.

In this case, you have to restore your status first and apply for BOWP. Are you also a victim of Montreal Office? Good luck with all your applications.

Correct! Yes unfortunately I'm. Thanks for the inputs. When did you apply? What's your timeline?
AOR: May 10, 2021
Eligibility Passed: January 25, 2022
Medical Extended: February 2, 2022
Infor Sharing: In Progress
Security: not started
Criminal: not started
I order GCMS twice, first time received in March and second received in May, but they were showing exact same thing, which means our applications were left in some limb and nobody cares. I knew a lot people whose applications were in Montreal office share the same problem.

That's insane. No idea when they're gonna process the applications. Is there anyway we can escalate to the officer?

The only way I can think of is to plead you local MP to put some pressure to IRCC, and force IRCC to take a look at Montreal Office's KPI. LOL
