Application sent (Paper): August 13, 2021
Delivered: August 20, 2021
5 Year Eligibility: 2016-03-28 to 2021-03-27
AOR: November 4, 2021
In Process ECAs: December 13, 2021
Test Invite Letter: April 21, 2022
Test Date (Passed): May 9, 2022

Hi Folks,
I need one help here. I applied for citizenship in Nov 2021, in Jan 2022, BG got completed. But since then there is no further progress. I sent the paper application. Can someone please tell, me how to get in touch with the IRCC apart from webform, which I filled 3 times in the last 6 months and there is no response from them yet? I can see there are applicants who applied around my time only and got the test dates as well. Please help.

Sharma ji,.
I got Test invite 7 months after AOR.... Not all applicants are treated same. I have seen people getting oath in 6 months whereas applicants from Jan 2021 are still waiting for an update. Be patient

Thank you Phoenix, hopefully, I will get it soon too. That's true, not all applicants are having the same journey. Will wait and watch.

Now SERVICES CANADA is facing the biggest passport application backlog in years. Hang in there guys…we’re gonna have to wait on the other side too. When the time comes for passport application, we will also have to face some delays.

Thats true.. will have to wait at each step.. hoepfully things get better.. btw.. any url for free practice tests for citizenship, anyone?

Hello Friends,
I applied for my Canadian passport (express) yesterday and feel great as will receive it by this Friday.

THANK YOU ALL for supporting each other and helping by answering the questions. This forum was huge support for me.

I know eventually, everyone will get to the end goal but the timeline might be different. Good luck.

Thank you Admin for creating this thread and updating the tracker for us.

A quick snapshot of my timeline after the test:

The test appeared: on Feb 28
Test completed: March 1
Decision made: May 17
Oath invite: May 19
Oath completed: June 14
Certificate received: June 21
Passport applied: June 21

People who think the passport application process is crazy these days to our surprise it wasn’t that crazy. We did walk-in application and where out within 3:30mins. The officers are working overtime to help the citizens. Kudos to them. Location: Toronto

Good morning all, I got some questions regarding the upcoming oath ceremony: how many emails/notifications will we get for/prior to the oath? I went through an immigration lawyer and not sure if I'm missing any documents from them for the time being. The way it's written on the online portal makes it look like sth has already been sent out AND there'll be other docs coming my way, and I'm not sure if I'm missing anything.

My oath date will be in mid July, thank you:

Follow the instructions we sent to you for information on:
  • how to attend the ceremony
  • what documents you have to present
The notice you’ll receive is the official confirmation of the appointment.
