If your PR card photo is rejected, how long does it take to get an update after sending a new photo to IRCC? The Photo my wife sent to IRCC got to them on 28 April 2022 but there have been no update on her profile.

Ecas - GU to Decision Made on June 03, 2022 (No Email and No myCIC Update)
My CIC - Application approved and shipped - June 08, 2022(No Email)
Ecas - COMPLETE - June 09, 2022

Permanent Resident Card
  1. We received your application for a permanent resident card on March 21, 2022.
  2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on April 1, 2022.
  3. We started processing your application on April 1, 2022.
  4. Your Permanent Resident card was sent by mail on June 8, 2022.
Physical Card not received yet but have got the document number for PR Card with validity (5Yr) through Mycic

You applied for pr card renewal in h&c grounds.. I also did the same.. My application stucked since last year April.. Can you please share your case.. So I can have idea.. Wat abt pr card renewal on h&c grounds??

Hello All.. Myself Akash frm Delhi, India. I applied for PR card renewal on H&C grounds as was nt meeting the Residency obligations.. I applied last year in April and still it's under process..

Fortunately yesterday I was able to speak with agent and he confirmed me my application still under process and stucked at Etobicoke office.. And he requested for urgent update on that..

Here are few questions:

I am in Delhi, India at this moment, and in case i need to pick my card in-person.. I will need PRTD to enter Canada as PR card already expired..

Would I get PRTD easily based on the email received for pick my card, or any issue or complications would be there?

Is there any chance they issue pr card and send to the address I had given in the application and in-person pick up not required?

Can I apply PRTD now like, can I mention that I need to visit Canada to get my pr card or visit my friend, and then wait to get the pr card?

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Hi everyone , I received pr card for my mom and still waiting for my dad , I just linked both their pr cards to my cic account , i see that it says approved and dispatched for my mom and no notes for my dad , is this common?

Absolutely common. Those two applications are independent and can move at their own pace.

Received a letter asking 2 new photos from him , I believe photos must be stamped by the studio , will it be a problem if pictures are taken in another country?

What form you get the letter? Is it in the mail? or email(PDF)? did you have your dad's PR Card application linked? if so, What's the status? please advice.

PR Card Renewal (Urgent Processing)

PR Card Application (Renewal) sent June 7, 2022 via courier.

ECAS:

We received your application for a permanent resident card on June 14, 2022.

We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on June 14, 2022.

We started processing your application on June 14, 2022.

Your request for a permanent resident card was approved on June 15, 2022.

Your Permanent Resident card was sent by mail on June 16, 2022.

Physically received card on June 21, 2022 (Today)

All in all, it took 14 days from the time I sent the application (via courier) to receiving the card in Vancouver, BC.

At least for this application, the government did their job and actually responded quickly. I thank the agent who processed my PR Card renewal this quickly. Whoever this agent is, she/he is a gem.

Wishing everyone a speedy processing of their applications as well.

Last Friday I did speak with agent and he confirmed me that my application is approved but its selected for In-person pick up from Etobicoke office, and I should get the email with 1-2 weeks.

Here are few questions?

I am in Delhi, India at this moment, and in order to pick my card in-person.. I will need PRTD to enter Canada as PR card already expired.
Will I get PRTD based on the email received to pick my card, or any complications would be there?

IRCC might have renewed the card and would ask to pick up In-person as they might have assumed that I am already in Canada and applying PRTD will jeopardize things and I should travel through US by road, and pray would not reported while crossing the border?

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Not an expert, but I think applying for PRTD, you will have to again apply on same grounds (H&C) and not on basis of card collection reason.
