Hi
My name is Abdullahi, I'm 22, from Nigeria..
An urgent intervention is needed from you concerning my student visa...I have completed all necessary prerequisites but getting to the airport yesterday I was told there's a restriction on my visa and that I am unable to immigrate, hence am sending this message.
I was granted a student visa, with my dad as an accompany, for I cannot fare with a new territory alone.
My school admission got expired due to the late visa permit, so I had to wait for a new admission and course registration, because the documents were required for immigration.
My new admission didn't come in early, making my dad's visa period run out of date, then my dad was ignorantly advised by a family friend in Canada to immigrate, while wait for my documents from the school.
On getting to the border, he was denied boarding pass, that he is supposed to accompany me.
My dad came back to Nigeria with no idea that my visa as the principal applicant was flagged, not until recently as we were about to travel together, we were told my visa was flagged, which made me miss my flight and my ticket payment was non refundable.
I'm already registered in the spring/summer session in University of regina, Canada, and the school has been awaiting my resumption.
Please for I can no longer delay my resumption I really hope for any ideas or solutions to my predicaments.

Why did your father travel alone when the basis of his visa was that you need to be accompanied by him?

I was being delayed by the school and the expiry date on his visa was getting near..
I would call it a honest mistake because we didn't get any consultation.

Think about it, he had no purpose to travel alone even if the visa was due to be expired. Now you are marked suspicious because of this.

We had no idea..
Visa application is kinda hard over here, and though of going through the same trouble on reapplication was the reason for our actions. I needed help from the school, but we weren't getting enough attention from them over the Internet, And it says visit on his visa, so that brought the thought of him going over there, to try get help, for I couldn't travel without without my admission letter.

Your story is so confusing.

1. Have you been studying online? Do you have a valid study permit? Did you upload your new LOA or did you get a permit based on your old LOA? If based on your expired letter then you need a new study permit. Why were you denied boarding?
2. Does your father have a valid visa (what type)? What does your dad’s visa have to do with the university or you not being able to board a plane? Why is the university involved. How is he immigrating to Canada as you use the word? You are not a principal applicant to his visa.

The school is not responsible for advising you on immigration matters.

I'm not sure what you mean by your visa being flagged. If you mean canceled, then you need to reapply for a new study permit. If you mean something else, you should explain what in detail.

"Purpose of visit" for his father is to accompany him. He is not a principal applicant, but I think, the purpose of the visit is important in his father's visa context.

Hi.
I'm sorry if there's any confusion.
I haven't been studying online and I didn't get my study permit yet, but got a letter of introduction that shows I'm approved for a study permit, And I got it based on my new admission letter.
My dad has a valid visitor visa, we thought he could travel separately, for his visa's category was visiting, That brought the idea of him travelling to Canada alone, with the hope of helping me get physical attention from the school, concerning the delay on my new admission and introduction letter, my dad feared the delay might cause his visa to run out of date and won't get a chance to accompany me after, for the time on his visa is limited. And we were unable to reach the school's help line in order to ask the cause of the delay on my documents, we also sent emails, but they weren't responded to. But he wasn't allowed into the country, that he has to be travelling with me.
The school eventually responded to my emails, and my documents were sent to me, But getting to my local airport, I was told there's a restriction on my visa and I couldn't get into the country, and the
Canada Border Services Agency has something to do with it.
We explained to some experts, and they said my dad's first travel attempt was the cause of the restriction by the border services agency.
And I think I should be the principal applicant to this visa, because my dad got his from my position.

What is the restriction on your visa? Has your passport been stamped with your study permit? If you went to the airport, then what permit did you show that you could enter the country? There is no such thing as you being a principal applicant. So your father was denied entry too? When does his visitor visa expire? Not sure what he could do by personally going to the university.

I really wish I knew, buy I can't quite put my finger on the type of restriction or what I did wrong to have cause it, as we weren't told in details at the airport the reasons why we couldn't travel.
I showed all required documents at the Airport, including my passport with the visa page in it, and also my letter of introduction. But my local airport had nothing to do with the restriction.
I'll assume I don't know anything about being principal applicant. My dad was denied entry the first time because I wasn't with him, and I don't think anything is wrong with his visa except its expiry very close, my dad couldn't gain entry the second time because I couldn't go and I being his reason to travel. And his visa expires at the end of June.

You need to contact IRCC for a reason. How old are you - are you a minor who needs a guardian? Did your medical expire? Your dad should apply for a new visitor permit.
