Not sure if it works with Xpresspost but creating an account with Canada Post gives the user an option to automatically track mail/deliveries under their name (with up to 3 variations, I think). It successfully did for past deliveries based on my experience.

I've been watching my Canada Post account via the phone app like a hawk for any delivery notification from Passport / Service Canada. And of course my mailbox too...

Contacted my MP's office to get in touch with Passport Canada. The MP representative came back with an update that the passport had been mailed out and provided me with the tracking number. I checked the tracking number and it was created on 10th June (Friday) and mailed out from Ottawa. The notice left today (13th June). So from the time they mail it takes 1-2 business days for folks to get it, granted I live in Ontario itself.

My timeline is:
Passport Application mailed to Gatineau, QC: 23rd March
Credit card charged: 20th April
Passport mailed out: 10th June
Notice for passport delivery left: 13th June
Passport collected: 14th June

I have a transfer request for my child's passport application at this location with our travel date being June 24. Do you know if people who had transfers for urgent travel were also subject to having to line up early in the morning to get a token? Or was there a separate line/priority for these people?
People with Urgent Transfer requests (Travel within the next 7 business days) were in the same line early morning. But once they went inside, the staff segregated people with urgent requests. Not sure what happens with people who have an appointments though (if there are any appointments).

I emailed my MP on Friday but no reply yet. They weren't very helpful with my citizenship app so not holding out much hope.

Just my two cents. If you receive "the call" from the receiving passport location, and they ask you for proof of travel and your CC info for payment, then that's a great sign. I believe they will tell you to come back and pick up on X date, after this time etc. The issue that seems to be happening (reading on twitter, subreddits, here on the forum) is that people are requesting to have their file transferred, but never actually receiving the all important call. If that's the case, then I believe that you will have to line up early in the morning along with everyone who is requesting a transfer in person, or following up on their transfer they made over the phone. I myself am in that situation. My passport office has not contacted me yet - it's been 5 days since my file transfer request. So if I don't hear anything by Wednesday/Thursday I am going to have to make my way in person, and based on what I've read, line up really early in the morning to receive one of those tokens. I'm not going to chance it and show up when they open and tell them I have a pending file transfer.

It's been a while (My application was received by the Passport office around May 3) but so far, no CC charged yet. I need to travel by the end of July, so I'm beginning to get mildly concerned.

This is all so messed up. Which passport office did they transfer to, do you know?

Good luck! I fear I will be in the same situation next week so any info you can provide once you’ve been to the office would be very much appreciated.

Decided to mail in my passport application to Gatineau:

Mailed it in on June 8th
Received by passport Canada: June 9th (opted for one-day shipping via Purolator)

Haven't seen my credit card charged yet so I guess I will give it about 2 weeks?

I am so stressed. If I miss my brother's wedding my mum will probably fly to Canada and kill me herself.

I mailed my app 9 weeks ago tomorrow and travel in 4 weeks. I check my mailbox probably 37 times a day!
That worries me too. Maybe I should have gone into the office instead :(

I saw someone on the FB citizenship group mail in their application but after waiting for a few weeks & since they wanted their passport asap, they did a walk-in.

I requested the file transfer to the Yonge and Shephard location - North York. Yeah, messed up is one way of putting it. I'll definitely post what happens over the next few days.

I don’t understand how you do this without your citizenship certificate though. I already mailed mine to Gatineau.
