Tourist Visa Rejection

Hello Everyone,

I am a permanent resident in Canada and I applied for tourist visa for my parents and brother. My parents visa got approved but it got rejected for my brother ( currently working in India) on basis of following clause 179(b) . Can you please advice what all documents can we provide to get the visa acceptance and how much time should I wait before I apply visa for my brother again?

Order GCMS notes. Visas are issued based on funds, ties to home country (job, family ties such as spouse and children), travel history and reason for visit. How old is he? Funds? Length of visit? Job letter?

He’s 24 and single. We put travel duruation as 1.5 months and Attached his job letter. We showed funds for him for $4900 CAd

So it is clear why. He is single so no strong family ties to home country. He showed little funds and a long visit. For a 1.5 month visit, he needs to show funds for airfare/insurance plus about $1000-1500 per week. Showing a job letter with 1.5 months off are not ties and shows that your brother is mobile.

Thankyou for the information. Can you suggest what all docs can he provide and an estimated funds. Also, can we reapply with say 2 weeks travel plan, NOC from his office and like maybe $10000 cad in funds?

He can shorten his visit with employment letter for two weeks holidays. If all of a sudden he has $10k that is a red flag because he should have showed his own funds in the first place. Where did he get $5k so quickly? They need to be his funds.

My parents are planning to transfer some funds to his account as gift. And then we can show 2-week vacations approved from office along with NOC? Would that suffice? Also, is there a wait time before he applies again? And he doesn’t have any property under his name , can that cause issue for also showing ties back to country ?

Get GCMS notes and reapply if you can address reasons for refusal. He will have to say why all the funds were put into his account. Given he has a refusal, a gift of funds may not look good to VO.

If you are in Canada then order through Access to Information. You need authorization to access his file.
