Travel outside of Canada

Hi all,

So we did an inland sponsorship since October 2021 and we now just received her work permit.

Now that we have this paper, does this allow us to travel outside of Canada? We would like to take a vacation somewhere but I am just not sure what we need to do at this point as I heard that the work permit paper is the only thing we need to be able to return to Canada?

Would love to hear the information about this.

Does she has eTA or valid TRV? She needs that to enter Canada.
And just like any non citizen/PR, there is always a possbility of CBSA refusing her entry. But with eTA/TRV plus work permit, the chance should be low..
But still... up to you to take the risk

The work permit is not a travel document and doesn't allow you to re-enter Canada. You need either a valid TRV or eTA to re-enter Canada.
