Hello forum,

I recently discovered Canada now records entry and exit information and shares it with IRCC.

Do all applications get their entry/exit record checked before approval?
What´s the chance one application will get approved without being checked?

Thanks,

Giovanne Lucas

I'm not sure I understand what entry / exit records have to do with CEC application approval.

I think they may check if the person was in Canada during certain times. Let´s say to prove one was indeed working in Canada, instead of home office abroad. Then they could refuse or aprove an aplication based on it.
This article talks about it: https://www.cicnews.com/2022/02/how...migration-applications-0221720.html#gs.xcc6z4

Ah - I see what you mean now. That is certainly possible.

To count work experience towards CEC, only time spent physically working in Canada counts. Remote work outside of Canada doesn't count and shouldn't be included in the total.
