How were you able to talk to an IRCC agent? I called specifically for the purpose of confirming the validity of your statement, and was told they could not transfer my call due “to a high call volume”. I’ve been trying to contact IRCC for a year and I hear that message every time… and… the automatic message says that processing has not started for applications received after January 2020…
I tried calling them multiple times as well. Same experience

I can not able to attach the document here. So I pasted a link. If it doesn't work please reach out to Doris Crosby on Facebook. She was the one sent me these notes ( Canadian Citizenship Test group on Facebook)

This is weird! I heard many people saying that but when I called them it was not bad at all. I called them and there was an option to call back or waited in line for 11 minutes so I chose call back option. Which number did you call?? I called 18882422100

I was on a call with an ircc agent today. He was super nice to answer my questions and I asked about new processing time. He said the 27 months processing time applied to new applicants so highly likely my application could be processing within 12 months
Good initiative. So does this mean, those who applied in 2021 will have their application processed in 12 months time frame ?
There is a lot of noise related to these backlogs.

Yes same number. They work from 8 AM to 4 PM. What time you usually call them?

Hi all,
I am Sept 2021 online applicant. Received Aor on Dec 8th. Since then no updates. My question is do we receive the test request date straight without anything in between. Right now for me, everything is in progress but no fingerprint request or any other request. Would I receive straight test dates or there would be something in between, so I can start studying at that point. No point start studying now and it takes them another 6 months to send me test dates. Please comment.

Hey guys, i gave my test before receiving the test invitation email. Everything on tracker shows completed except Oath ceremony is not started. Is there anyway i can get to know my application processing office. My AOR says case processing center is Sydney. Should i consider sydney as processing office or it could have change since AOR?

Hi everyone, I am new here :)

I saw the grant of citizenship timeline increase from 12 to 27 months yesterday and started panicking. I'm praying that the 27 month deadline does indeed apply to new applications as mentioned above.

I'm also heartened and relieved to see that some fellow September 2021 applicants are now receiving invitations to take the tests, and fingers crossed my test invite comes through soon - I have been studying hard! I am flying to Europe for a family wedding on May 17th and will be away until June 10th, so I hope that my test is not scheduled between those dates (I know I can request to change it if needed - just would prefer not to have to deal with the hassle of doing so.)

Hi Admin, my timeline so far is:
Paper Application
Location: Vancouver
Application type: Single
Physical presence days: 1,766
Application sent: Sept. 10, 2021 (received in Sydney, NS on Sept 16, 2021)
AOR: Dec. 3, 2021
Background check completed: Jan 18, 2022
