Guys, how accurate is the data that CIC NEWS received??? The news said that there are 10,388 CEC applications pending for approval as of March 15th, 2022... However, I saw today on this forum alone, folks whose AOR was back in April/May/June 2021 are still waiting...The last 4 times (2021 July to Sept) CEC draws, the total amount of invitations was 12,500...... Am I the only one who is too stupid to believe those data that the news disseminated???!!!
No but few of them already have PRs issued. Not everyone is waiting like us.

The numbers in the quoted news seem realistic. If you look at the cases being finalized per month during November and December, you’d come to a roughly same number. You see, IRCC finalized approx. 350 CEC applications per day during the last two weeks of December. Regarding the folks with AORs in early 2021, unfortunately the remaining 10388 applications are those which, for one reason or the other, IRCC found too complex to process during 2021 while trying to meet the target.

Now comes the question, why the heck they’re not processing just 10388 applications? To keep it simple, it’s because they are working with full capacity to process FSW inventory, alongside Ukraine special program. Therefore, they’ve almost completely stopped CEC processing. That’s how they are going to resume FSW and CEC draws in Spring 2022 when the inventory for CEC and FSW is almost exhausted.

It’s a little more wait. We’ll most probably all be done with this by July-August 2022 :)

I thought spring is till May. If the draws are to commence in Spring, then we all should be done before May. Funny thing is 60-70% CEC files are with Edmonton office, i think :)

Mar 20-June 21 is supposedly Spring in Canada.
They can still probably resume draws in Spring or maybe early summer, but some us would still have to wait a little longer than that, hence I said ALMOST exhausted :D

I believe that the CPCs work according to the instructions by IRCC central. Therefore, if IRCC decides that we should be finalized this month or next month, they’ll definitely hold the CPCs accountable. And if the need be, they’ll probably redistributed the workload to meet that target, similar to what they did in January when they transferred our files to Edmonton.

Let’s be positive and optimistic, even though IRCC has been hopeless for many of us :)

Probably you are correct. Some of those 10388 cases will be procrastinated til next year or the year after, just like what they did to those 2020 first half year CEC AORs. And when new draws resumed, they will be completing new cases in 2-3 months……so, until one of those leftover in 10388, actually committed suicide due to mental health issues caused by family collapse, losing jobs, anxiety, frustration and stuff…….will they start to work on those leftovers……just wish the one who killed her or himself is not one of us…Or just kill her or himself, just don’t kill family members……

First of all, this is why we are here. If we feel stressed or way too anxious, we can always reach out to each other, and support each other in our weakest hour. I don’t believe one should take any extreme step just because ones immigration application is taking longer than s/he expected? You see, life is precious than anything else. Once we decide to get ourselves into this process, we should always be prepared to wait however long it’s going to take. Anyone who doesn’t have a plan B, should reconsider before getting her/himself in this process.

Regarding the pushing forward of cases similar to 2020, we should also consider the special circumstances. We aren’t living that hell-like time anymore. Therefore, I don’t believe we’ll be pushed forward for two years. That’s why IRCC is holding onto their hard decision of halting the draws despite so much criticism. They learnt this lesson the hard way.

We’ll be done with this in coming months Bro :)

Nothing we can do but continue to work and wait...just wish they can hurry up a little, like take 10 min coffee breaks every hour instead of 15 min lol...at least one more application or two can they complete per day, just squeeze 30-40 mins of their 8 hours easy daily schedule...lol, not too much to ask...
