LOST PASSPORT BUT HAVE STUDY & WORK PERMIT -

I arrived in Canada on 10th Feb 2022 to pursue my MBA at Schulich School of Business with my study and work permit. However, I lost my original passport on 12th Feb and have applied for re-issuance of passport on 25th Feb. However, I have my original study and work permit ( which has my original passport number which was lost )

I wanted to find out the following,
1) How will i get my Temporary Canadian Visa on my new passport?
2) When can i apply for it? Can i apply for it before getting my passport or do i have to wait until i get it?
3) I have NOT lost my study and work permit so do i have to replace them as i will get a new passport and if so how can i do it?

I have filed my police report as well.

Can you please guide me on how can i further proceed on this!!

1. You need to fill IMM5009 VOS/Replacement of IMM Record form, pay fees and mail
2. You need to have a passport for the visa to be placed on
3. You can send webform to update current passport number by attaching explanation and police record of lost passport…

Thank you for your reply Simba! Just a few follow up questions to the above,

1) Do i have to mail them to post at Ottawa or submit it online?
3) This step will be done by me after receiving my passport and Canadian visa both or i can do it as soon as i receive my new passport ??

1. Im not sure if this can be done online, but from what i know you can mail and track it.

3. It is advised to do step 2 first provided you already have police report. Best approach is to renew the passport first and do step 1,2 and three. Im sure form requires you to fill passport number

Thanks, will wait for my passport in that case before moving to other steps.

For steps after passport, i will only have to replace my visa stamping right ? What about study and work permit which i have with me and did not loose (but they will have my old/lost passport number).

I received my new passport today, but need to send it for TRV stamping as i am student.

Can you please guide me on my next steps ahead on how do i get my TRV stamp done at the earliest?
