Hi everyone,

I submitted my application on the new PR portal on Dec 29, 2021. I just received an email that my status has been updated on the portal. When I login, I don't see any change... Status still shows 'submitted' as in December.

Am I missing something? Does anyone know what this means?

Happens all the time, phantom or ghost update. All it likely means is someone 'touched' your file and it showed up in the system. No way to know what it means, but no reason to worry either.

I think the problem is you're checking back into the PR Portal where you SUBMITTED your application. That's not where your actual file information will be (I'm not sure why they did that, but here we are).

You have to sign up for a tracker account: https://prt-srp.apps.cic.gc.ca/en/login

The info should be in there. In my case, I found my GCKey account had more information, so be sure to sign up for that account, too. The GCKey is where they sent me my biometrics request and medical request:
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/account.html

I submitted online as well (Nov 18th outland) and my portal account still says submitted as well. I guess that account is only used to submit the application and nothing else?

I'm sorry, just had another question: in order to create acct for the app tracker, I need an ICU, which we don't have yet... How do I get around that? Thanks

That's in your AOR.

Then you won't be able to access the account until you get that (in fact, it took me 24 hours to log into the new tracker after my AOR, and 6 full days after the AOR to log into the GCKey. So patience is needed

Hi again everyone,

I received an email this morning with an ICU and file number. The email said that they received my application; how to get updates or change my contact; they will contact me once the file has been examined. Is this the AOR??? It was to my personal email address (as the sponsor) but not on my husband's email address, which was put as the main contact address??? Anyone have a template of what the AOR looks like?
