I've watched many espisodes of the History Channel series, "Ancestors in the Attic". I recommend that any of you who can watch it on TV, or do a search for it online, should do so if you ever question why you are applying for immigration. This series describes the outcome of this decision one, two or three generations later. The basis of this Canadian series is that people interested in finding out more about their family tree get help from the show's experts to do the research and in many cases meet with their distant relatives around the world. It is a powerful show and the determination and sacrifice the ancestors made to come to Canada is reflected in the appreciation of the living relatives who now benefit from their hard work. It will lift your spirits!
