Hi guys,
My in laws wanted to come and visit us and asked to send paperwork (invitation letter etc) so they can submit a visitor visa application.
When submitting they did a mistake and submitted for a parent/grandparent visa.
After a week or so they got an email saying they need to pay the right fee for parent/grandparent visa and get medical exams and proof of med insurance in Canada etc.
They never visit and stay more than 2-3 weeks, and that is like not every year, more like once every 3 years. Why do they need such an expensive visa with lots of expenses on their and our side?
Is there a way to write them and ask them to consider visitor visa, not a parent grandparent visa?
