Would it be a problem to have employment gaps for my PR application?

Hi dear folks of CanadaVisa,

I am Abhi, i have got ITA and i am in the process of applying PR, regarding which i have few questions.

1. I work as software engineer and I have employment gaps, but cumulative experience gives me the required points.

a. The chronology of my employment is as follows, please tell me if this would be a red flag or could result in a rejection in my application:

2016 Jan -2018 May - > Intern, Associate Software Engineer, Software Engineer

2018 June - 2019 Feb -> Unemployed, worked on a failed startup idea.(GAP)

2019 March - 2020 June -> Software Engineer - 2

2020 July - Present -> Unemployed, working on my startup idea again.(GAP)

As you can see there is 2 employment gaps, 2018 June - 2019 Feb and 2020 July - Present, would this be a problem in my application?

2. While applying for PR, should i also be employed? Is being unemployed determental to my application? Should i find a job and then apply?

Regards,
Abhi

Not unless your ITA somehow depends on your being employed
