Working based on open work permit

Hi,

I am currently working on closed Work permit . My dependant is also doing some contract job in Canada based on open work permit. Even though I have closed work permit till 2018. My project is getting over shortly and I have to leave the country. In this case will my dependant can continue to work in Canada. ? Is this legal to work as long as her contract expires. ?

Yes, your dependant have a valid OWP, so it's OK.

If your dependant need to apply for a extension at some point you'll need to explain why you were living separately for a while, but with a clear explanation and documents shouldn't be an issue.
